Do you have any tips or advice to offer?

I want to start a farm when I finished college, but I really have no idea what to do. How long will it take and how much would it cost to buy an acre of land along the south shore of Lake Superior and build a log cabin 20'x20 '(with mezzanine, dependence and shed)? If I started work in early spring and spent all my free time on this, would I have enough canned or dried and stacked wood for the winter? What would be the most ecological heat my home and have little power … as how much solar panels cost? Would it be wise to have a cellar? I do not really know much all this, but I wonder if it's something a person just out of university (I'm very good about saving my money and my parents pay my tuition) can afford, or I'd better find an apartment and work on the farm for several years before moving in.

you can move in immediately, but you can check in alternative energy, loans from the FDA, livestock chickens, grow vegies. PS you need more than 1 acre at least 2.5.
